With all the new found time we have as we manage through this pandemic, it’s time to get organized. After you have cleaned out your closest, painted your office, home schooled the children (by the way, thank you Teachers! They are little pieces of heaven, dealing with 30 of our little balls of joy.), it’s time to organize your photos.
Get them out of your digital world and into your physical world. Digital doesn’t last forever, that’s the Internet, the Internet lasts forever. Hard drives go bad, get lost, thumb drives fall down drains, phones fall in the toilet, you didn’t back up to the cloud because you remember the celebrity iCloud hack from 10 years ago. All this to say, that in 30, 40, 50 years, you kids and grand kids will not be scrolling through hard drive images remembering your wonderful life. They will, however, be flipping through photo books, pulling portraits off your walls or out of the attic and reflecting on those candid, most precious memories that only a photo can create.
We all have thousands, if not tens of thousands, of digital photos. All to be potentially lost and likely forgotten without pulling them into printed form. Don’t worry, this process is easier than you think.
Online photo labs such as www.adoramapix.com or www.bayphoto.com have easy online ordering systems with easy to use and inexpensive photo books (I do not get paid for you ordering from them, they just provide a great service that I trust). You can organize by year, by event, or simply just drag and drop the photos into a book and enjoy the variety and wonderful conversation and memories that provides!
So that is your call to action, print your pictures! If you need help or have questions, let me know. I will be more than happy to help you think through your photo book, provide suggestions, and help you through the ordering process.
Stay safe my friends!
