I wanted to share this quick video with you about the soul searching I have been doing these last many months and what you can expect from myself in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned as we launch our new website and look to bring you Meaningful Moments. Not Forced Poses.
Question: How do you feel about overly posed family portraits? Do they seem contrived to you?
Hey friends, I wanted to share some personal and very exciting info with you all.
Over the last many months, I have been doing a lot of soul searching. I really wanted to figure out who I am as a photography studio and even who I am as a photographer. Most importantly, what do I want to bring my clients beyond another picture?
One of the things I considered was what is the deeper meaning in what I do as a photographer? Ultimately, I realizing that life THRIVES below the surface. So often photography captures just the surface – that’s the difference between a picture and a portrait. I want to create portraits that crack the surface and preserve life’s meaningful moments.
In just about a week, I will be launching my new website that represents portrait photography that instead of documenting the surface of life, captures life’s meaningful moments.
Keep an eye out and until then, take care of yourself. And if you can, someone else too (I totally stole that from Freakonomics, but I love it ).
